My friend and I went to purchase some heroin from our usual place and they were out so we decided to get some from a different source. I used one bag to try it out and my friend started preparing 3 bags like usual and I told him to wait and I will try the one first and I am glad I did. I did the one and felt a big rush and last thing I remember is looking at him and saying its strong and the next thing I remember is waking up with my friend next to me and the car door opened with him on the phone saying ,"He woke up". I was really confused and had a terrible taste and at first could not understand why we were in this parking lot and would not believe him that I had overdosed. I am glad that we always carry naloxone and that there are services like yours out there. I have saved and have seen many others saved from certain death by angels like you and this miracle drug. I only wish that more people had access.

Read MoreI’ve personally used Narcan, on 12 different occasions for overdoses. Some were friends, some were not. Being a nurse, and seeing everything I’ve experienced, I wouldn’t feel right not carrying it. No matter who it is, that person has someone who loves them, and doesn’t want to lose them. Some people take that one chance as their wake up call, and they run with it!!!

Working a good job paying his bills has his own apt./responsibilities. A lot of ppl are quick to give up on addicts and say to just let us die.. Well it's cuz of kind hearted ppl like you all that run these programs that a lot of us get 2nd an 3rd chances but we do recover.. Drug use/overdose is still a big problem in my city and I will always continue to do my part to help an addict in need (without enabling). I try to keep narcan on me at all times and educate/raise awareness about harm reduction and MAT.

Our tourist town is plagued by overdoses ans so many deaths occur and NO ONE is aware. Id like to save as many people as I can (I try to keep Naloxone on me at ALL TIMES! In my car, my home, my purse etc..) We have NO programs near me that I am aware of that can supply people with Naloxone. This program is important to me because I have saved a life.
