Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe medication used to reverse overdose from opioids, such as heroin, prescription painkillers, and fentanyl, but is safe to use even if opioids are not present.

Thanks to a partnership between NEXT Distro and the NYC Health Department, New York City residents can now receive a naloxone kit by mail, free of charge. 

To receive a naloxone kit by mail, you will need to view a training video and provide mailing information. Your mailing information will be collected by the NYC Health Department using an online form. All information will be stored securely and only accessible to members of the Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution Unit (OENDU) at the NYC Health Department. Your information will never be sold to or shared with any third parties.

Once you submit your mailing information, orders should be processed within 5-7 business days. After that, you can expect the kit to arrive within 1-2 weeks.
