Welcome to the mail-based harm reduction platform of Trac-B
Trac-B Harm Reduction Center in Las Vegas is focused on ensuring the health of everyone in Southern Nevada. In 2019, we are working to broaden our scope to include mail-based harm reduction for all Nevadans who inject illicit substances. We are committed to reducing infectious disease transmission and opioid overdose morality through the provision of safer injection supplies, hazardous waste disposal tools, and providing education and resources.
Mail-based Services: What we offer
Clients will receive with their first shipment:
a) 1 gallon sharps container or 2 on quart sharps containers, b) 100 syringes (either 30g 5/16th inch tip or 30g 1/2 inch tip, both 1cc), c) Additional supplies for safe injection, d) Treatment and recovery information, e)Safer sex kit (optional), f) Abscess kit (optional), e) Naloxone kit (based on need), f) Fentanyl test strips (based on need).
Clients will receive with their second and subsequent shipment:
a) 1 gallon sharps container or 2 on quart sharps containers, b) 100 syringes (either 30g 5/16th inch tip or 30g 1/2 inch tip, both 1cc), c) Return mail box with paid postage label d) Instructions on returning sharps legally and safely e) Information on Hepatitis C, safer injection, safer sex, public health programs, treatment etc.
About our process
If you are a person who injects drugs in the state of Nevada and have difficulty accessing hypodermic syringes, you may be eligible to access mail-based supplies via Trac-B Harm Reduction Center. Complete the anonymous enrollment form linked below and text us your handle. After we confirm you’ve completed the enrollment and can provide a mailing address, our staff will send you a letter outlining our program policies and requirements. If you choose to enroll in mail-based supply distribution, we will mail you supplies at no cost. Trac-B requests that mail-based participants mail used supplies back for proper disposal. We will provide you sharps containers and pre-paid mailing labels for this purpose.
